As simple as a bank card
In principle an electronic gift card functions in exactly the same way as an ordinary bank card. The customer purchases a gift card in your store, after which the card is loaded with a specific amount via the card terminal.

The card can now be used in all the stores affiliated to the system until the gift card balance is reduced to 0. The gift card is not a credit card and cannot be overdrawn.

Minor initial investment
The gift card system uses the card terminals (POS)
already installed in stores, and therefore
does not require investment in a new system
or in hardware or software.
