ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene-Styrene)
ABS is a plastic material, a so-called thermoplastic. Its most important use is in card applications, where requirements of durability and high resistance to temperature changes are important, one important example being the SIM card in mobile phones. ABS is not quite so suitable for printing as PVC, the predominant plastic material. More than one in ten of the plastic cards made in the world are manufactured in ABS plastic.
