Folding
Folding is the technical printing term for folding items, usually paper. Thin plastic can also be folded, but not plastic cards. When packing and distributing plastic cards, they are often glued to the accompanying letters, which are then folded and inserted in envelopes, in which case the fold is partly intended to reducethe size and partly to make reading of the plastic card by shining a light through the envelope more difficult.
