PVC

Since the plastic card was introduced in the 1950s, Polyvinylchloride (PVC) has been the by-far common estraw material used in the manufacture of plastic cards. About 85 per cent of plastic cards produced in the world today are manufactured in PVC plastic. The material is a so-called thermoplastic, which is highly suitable for various types of printing, such as offset and serigraphy, and is also excellent when it comes to the embedding of chips in cards.
